Invisible Fence

Today started day 1 of 10 of Invisible fence training. As I thought Basco tested the barrier in the house more than the other two. Now he wont go near the room, which is what we want. It beeped about twice and Rayn doesnt want to come up stairs and Scout walked through it as it beeped with his ears against his head and jumped on the bed, and he was on the other side, he did that a few times so unfortunately his collar had to be bumped up, he went in once and won't go near it again either! They installed the fence today as well, but we aren't able to use it until day 7 of training when the trainer comes back. They want me to tempt the dogs in the barriers, but my dogs wont go in there for anything! They know better, I hope they respect the whole fence like that!

We might have another addition to the family, no not a shiloh! I can't afford one and 4 is about 3 to many dogs! A one eyed kitty named AppleJack or One Eyed Jack. I saw him at Petsmart and he's so sweet! I know I have enough cats, and I shouldn't get one because of the last "incident" but Pippin is so lonely without Mr. Magoo, the other two cats refuse to wrestle with him. So Pippin needs a kitty friend to wrestle with. We'll see how things go tomorrow.

Mossimo

Basco has a new "friend" actually from what I have been told is scared to death of him. My roommate just moved in with of all things a Chihuahua! go figure. I'll post pictures of the 4 of them when I get back home. Basco's actually on vacation at my work for the week, I couldn't bring him with me to Chicago.

I totally have puppy fever right now, like everyone else! I guess I'll have to wait for a long while until I get a pup though. I know Basco would love it, so would my other guys.

Chinese Crested or Shiloh??

largest Chinese Crested ever seen!

My teeth are whiter than yours!

Welcome to the life of Basco! Basco was born at New Zion Shilohs on 8/01 a Pax/Ashley son. I first noticed his picture on the NZS website back in about September of '06. I knew I shouldn't get another dog, I already had 2, and 4 cats at the time. I kept going back to his picture everyday if not more than once a day. I only got to see 3 pictures of him, but for some reason I had an instant connection with him, without meeting him. Judging by his biography Lisa had written, I knew he'd fit in very well. Against better judgement I filled out an application for him and was approved. Awesome! I'd be getting my shiloh sooner than I thought. Not so fast, he was to be bred one more time to Leah. Unfortunately his fishes don't seem to swim well so she didn't conceive.

I drove up to NZS by myself in January and was gone for 36 hours. I stayed in Buffalo and picked him up the next day and drove him home. He seemed to instantly bond with me, when we walked on gas stops he walked right next to me, having to touch me. Above is a picture of him the day I got him home, and the one below is him shaved the next day. Unfortunately his coat was too matted to brush through. I will add more pictures tomorrow.
